My grandson had surgery the following early morning. The motel is right next to the hospital so it was very convenient and he could sleep in longer than if we would have had to travel to the hospital. The motel is basic but clean. The bed was very comfortable. I was in the "patio room" which was a shared balcony space with tables and chairs and a nice BBQ grill.

Because of an Amtrak breakdown I had to get off the train in Oakland at 10pm. The Westwind gave me a last-minute reservation and I was able to check in at 11:15pm.

It was aweful..smelled of smoke...discarded furniture was sitting outside the room and whoever was next door looked homeless and had a dog. Room was DIRTY..bed had dirty sheets and blanket and comforter was burnt and smelled dirty.Fridge was from 70s hom
